BABA is pleased to announce their first Legislative Fly-In and wish to invite BAB Network colleagues and their members to participate. The goal is to deliver the BAB pro-trade message to the Hill while helping member organizations grow their relationships with their elected officials. This is a great opportunity for you and your members to come to D.C. to network with our Congressional and Embassy colleagues. The best part? BABA organizes it for you!
What is a Fly-In and why do groups do them?
A legislative Fly-In is an important exercise in our democracy that gives participants valuable insight into the policy making process. It can help organizations raise their visibility in Washington while fostering relationships with policy makers and staff. Also known as a Hill Day or Advocacy Day, it can also rally a group or groups around a common interest and the legislation impacting it. From trade associations to nonprofits and civic groups, organizations of all sizes and interests participate in Fly-In events.
Congressional Fly-Ins do not constitute lobbying. Please CLICK HERE for an interpretation of the ethics rules from our General Counsel Randy Nuckols, a Partner at Dentons law firm.
There is a small courtesy block of rooms at $315 each per night. They will sell out so please book your room and pay for it directly with the hotel HERE.
