2018 Penfolds Grange:

Radiant deep red, the 2018 Grange has aromas of ripe blackberries/blackcurrant reduction, laced with spices – notably fennel and anise, then a sprinkle of dark chocolate and cocoa-powder. With a full intense palate that is mouthcoating – a confluence of tannin/acidity/oak/fruit – all joyously meshed together. Crafted utilizing fully-ripe, intensely-flavored and structured shiraz grapes, the result is a unique Australian style that is now recognized as one of the most consistent of the world’s great wines. The 2018 Grange is a Penfolds vintage that will be one of the true greats, and will only get better as it ages.
