Great drinks, great company, and the kind of atmosphere you simply cannot replicate at home or in a crowded bar. Yes, you could watch England vs Croatia at home. You could elbow your way to a spot at a packed pub bar, squinting at a screen you can barely see.

Or you could spend an extended lunch at the Chestnut Club, a stunning private members' venue opened exclusively for the British community in California, surrounded by fellow Brits who actually understand why this match matters.

We are hosting a private watch party for what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of FIFA World Cup 2026, and tickets won't last.

Standard tickets are $30 and include a welcome drink and an exclusive keepsake.

Jun 23    Assess, Don't Guess: DPIAs under the GDPR vs. Risk Assessments under the CCPA (Brought to you by Bird & Bird)
Join Vincent Rezzouk-Hammachi and Mihnea Dumitrascu (Bird & Bird) and Jennifer Sheridan (JLSheridan Legal) for an intimate breakfast session exploring data protection impact assessments under the GDPR and risk assessments under the CCPA, and how to make these frameworks work together in practice.

Topics will include:

Triggering thresholds: When is a DPIA mandatory under GDPR Article 35 vs. when does a CCPA risk assessment obligation arise?

• How do companies conduct these in practice?

- Employee monitoring: Conducting DPIAs and CCPA risk assessments for workplace monitoring technologies (think productivity tracking software, email and internet surveillance, location monitoring)

- Use of biometric data: Navigating the obligations triggered by biometric processing under GDPR and the CCPA, covering use cases such as facial recognition for office or retail access, fingerprint attendance systems, and more.

Through practical case studies and real-world examples, this session will give you actionable strategies to help your organization adopt these technologies responsibly and in compliance with applicable law. Attendees will also leave the room with a risk assessment template.

Jul 26    Run the San Francisco Marathon with The King's Trust USA!
The King’s Trust USA Opens Registration for the San Francisco Marathon

In 2026, The King’s Trust—His Majesty King Charles III’s flagship youth charity—celebrates 50 years of empowering young people with the skills and confidence to transform their lives through employment, education, and enterprise.

To mark this milestone, they have launched the national 50-for-50 Marathon Campaign: 50+ runners taking on iconic U.S. marathons to raise over $150,000 for programs that support young people; because they believe every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter their background or the challenges they are facing. The campaign has started strong, with the first 50-for-50 team running the LA Marathon just a few weeks ago, raising more than $15,000. Now it's our turn!

Registration is open for the next race in the series: the San Francisco Marathon on Sunday July 26th, 2026.

The Trust will cover your race fees, and runners are asked to commit to raising $1,000. You will receive support throughout with fundraising tools, training tips, team updates, and race-day encouragement.

With marathons in Chicago, New York, Miami, and Disney World Orlando coming up later in the year, the 50-for-50 campaign is building momentum—one mile at a time!
Join Consul General Eleanor Kiloh and our fearless BABC leader Corey Hastings in the 50-for-50 Marathon Challenge — and make every mile matter!

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or taking on a new challenge in 2026, we hope you’ll join us on this impactful journey — helping to open doors for young people to build the futures they deserve.
