Oct 24    Young Professionals Workshop: Leadership & Management Fundamentals - WINNING! - Strategies for Effective Career Management

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT!

Today, careers move with astonishing speed only to suddenly become stale and repetitive. They move through predictable cycles and stages faster than ever before. And yet, the underlying psychology of the modern day professional is not as widely addressed as it should be. This workshop is designed to help you understand and succeed within the professional business lifecycle, in an environment where the ability to see the "bigger picture" is vital for leadership and sustainable career management.

How individuals react and perform at work can make or break a company. The content of this workshop is adapted from the CEO skills workshop that management Consultant, Adrian Bray, runs within his firm, teaching both current and developing leadership skills to manage people, departments and their career to the best possible outcomes with a focus on the intrinsic link between the growth of a business and the development of a career.

Join Adrian Bray as he deftly leads you through an interactive session exploring various tools applied by the leadership of over 3000 businesses across 43 countries, giving them a strategic edge in an increasingly competitive business environment. The event will enable professionals to proactively manage both their career and their staff, allowing them to walk away confident in their leadership and management abilities.

About the speaker:

Adrian Bray has had successful careers in Global Logistics and Manufacturing, Management Accounting, Technology Development, Consulting, Coaching and now leads a M&A Advisory and Investment Bank. Throughout his professional tenure he has forged 9 businesses, gathering pragmatic experience from successful ventures as well as studying and understanding the reasoning behind some inevitable shortcomings. He has spoken at industry and user conferences and to the client bases of many professional firms about the impact of aligning personal careers and talent with the overarching business in which they operate and its effect on the organization?s valuation and sustainability

Adrian is passionate about providing leaders and professionals with the tools and knowledge to fulfill their full potential, as well as understand why they feel the way they do about their employer and their career. Outside his organizational roles Adrian's consulting range has varied from "for-purpose" organizations such as the British Council, World Food Program, a wide array of smaller industries, as well as corporate powerhouses such as IBM, SAP, BOC, and Exxon Mobil. It has taken us over 12 months to secure this event with Adrian, and we are looking forward to hosting him at this Young Professional's Workshop!

What few business owners know… Some businesses have a long-term plan to transition ownership while others simply wait for the inevitable offer or try to sell at the wrong time. We help you understand how business buyers will evaluate your company and what you can do to prepare for an ownership transition and increase the equity value of your business. We’ll also explore why it’s important whether you want to pass the business on to the next generation or eventually sell. What we will cover in the session: Fun exercises to show why some businesses perform better than others and have a higher equity value. Why this is the right time to be preparing your business. The predictability of the revenue cycles, why businesses get stuck, and how it relates to when to transition ownership.
