Once again, our panel of experts will engage in an interactive discussion and share their projections on how local and global economic patterns will affect your business in 2016. We'll be looking at economic forecasts from around the world and their likely impact on the US economy as a whole. We will also dig deep into the probable outcomes of the currently booming conditions here in the US and the Bay Area, including predictions on the residential and commercial real estate markets, stock, equity and bond market forecasts, and the environment surrounding IPOs, mergers, acquisitions and other restructuring vehicles.
Bringing it all back to our own back-yard, we will look at how the US/International macro trends, as well as trends happening right here in California are impacting industry in the United States with a particular focus on the Bay Area, and what the risks and challenges are to continued growth. We will also put our best foot forward in identifying the hottest markets and business opportunities that 2016 will bring.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES:
Gary Schlossberg, Vice President & Senior Economist, Wells Capital Management
Mr. Schlossberg analyzes the economic and investment environment for Wells Capital Management - a fee-based, institutional money manager with over $350 billion in assets under management - and for other investment and groups within Wells Fargo & Co. In that capacity, he participates in daily conference calls to the organization's investment managers and sales people throughout the country, and is a member of Wells Capital's Investment Policy and Liquidity Management strategy committees. Additionally, he regularly makes presentations to Wells Capital's customers and prospects, is quoted in the financial press and appears on business radio and TV programs here, in Japan and in the U.K.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 1974, Mr. Schlossberg worked as a researcher at the U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve Board covering international economic conditions. He did his graduate work at Pennsylvania State University and is a native of New York.
Sean Randolph, President, Bay Area Council Economic Institute
Sean Randolph is President & CEO of the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, a public-private partnership of business, labor, government and higher education that works to foster a competitive economy in California and the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco, Oakland and Silicon Valley.
Dr. Randolph previously served as President & CEO of the Bay Area Economic Forum, which merged with the Bay Area Council in January 2008, and as director of international trade for the State of California, where he developed trade strategy and directed international business programs to stimulate exports and introduce California companies to overseas markets. Before service with the state, he was Managing Director of the RSR Pacific Group, an international business consulting firm specializing in Asia and Latin America, and before that served as International Director General of the Pacific Basin Economic Council, a 15-nation international organization of leading U.S., Asian and Latin American corporations.
His professional career includes extensive experience in the U.S. Government, including the U.S. Congress staff, and the White House staff. From 1981-85 he served in the U.S. State Department, as officer for Asia on the Policy Planning Staff, as Special Adviser for Policy in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and as Deputy/Ambassador-at Large for Pacific Basin affairs. From 1985-88 he served as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy for International Affairs, managing nuclear non-proliferation, energy research, and global oil and gas issues.
Dr. Randolph holds a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts and Harvard Universities), a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service, and studied at the London School of Economics.
Roxane Divol, SVP and GM, Trust Services, Symantec
As the General Manager (GM) of Symantec’s Trust Services, Roxane Divol is responsible for the end-to-end optimization and growth of the Trust Services business. This business offers industry leading SSL certificates, code signing, and certificate management offerings.
Roxane joined the Symantec leadership team in 2013 as Senior Vice (SVP) President of Alliances, where she drove thought leadership and actions across Symantec’s products and services organization on matters related to long-term strategy, technology alliances, partnerships, and operations. Her responsibilities included leading and growing the Internet of Things offerings, Technical Services organization, and Products and Services Strategy and Operations, as well as leading the long-term strategy review for Symantec.
Symantec is the world's largest security-software maker, providing security, storage, and systems management solutions to help customers secure and manage their information-driven world, across their environment.
Prior to joining Symantec, Roxane was a Partner at McKinsey & Company for more than 15 years as a leader of its Marketing and Sales Practice on the U.S. West Coast, as well as the Technology, Media, Telecom Practice. In that role, she helped clients develop effective organizations, increase return on their investments, and develop go-to-market approaches that delivered the most value. She also created and led McKinsey’s West Coast Executive Women’s Roundtable series.
Roxane holds dual French and Colombian citizenship. Her cross-cultural experiences have helped her to assess and transform global organizations. She is a director at Wolverine Worldwide and currently sits on several non-for-profit boards (Lycee Francais de San Francisco, Global Fund for Women, and the Battery Foundation). Roxane is passionate about women’s rights, including access to education, healthcare, jobs, voting rights, and other inequities facing women and people across the globe.

Richard Waters, West Coast Editor, Financial Times
Richard Waters is the West Coast Editor for the Financial Times. His beat covers the technology industry. Before moving to the West Coast, Mr Waters was based in the FT's New York office for nine years. His roles there included Wall Street reporter, New York bureau chief, and the FT's first information industries editor, overseeing global coverage of technology, telecommunications and media. He previously worked at the FT in London where he held a number of positions, including editor of international capital markets, securities industry correspondent and accountancy and taxation correspondent.
Before working for the FT, Mr Waters worked as a reporter and editor for several financial magazines. He also worked for two years at Lloyd's Bank International and lived in Chile, also working as a teacher. In 2004, he was awarded Corporate Finance Reporter of the Year for his coverage of Google's IPO. He was shortlisted for the Business & Finance Reporter of the Year award at the British Press Awards in 2003 and won the award in 1992 as part of a team covering the BCCI scandal. In 1988, he was named Accountancy Journalist of the Year. He appears regularly on the BBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CNNfn and NPR.
Mr Waters received his Bachelor's degree from St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University.
