Event Description


Whether you are new to the Bay Area or have been here a while, there are things you need to know to ensure success with your tax planning, immigration status and current and future finances.  Navigating the immigration laws, establishing your credit history, understanding the taxation system, and oh, what to do with that UK pension you left behind? While these issues may seem separate, your decisions about one issue, may negatively, or positively, impact one of the other areas.

This is your chance to get your questions answered from a panel of experts in tax, immigration law, banking and UK pensions.  You will also get a chance to connect with people who are in the same situation as yourself.


Join us for networking with food and wine at 6:00 pm, the panel session will start at 6:30 pm.

Arnaud Sintes is AVP, Business Development Officer at Bank of the West. He focuses on assisting international clients with their banking needs.
His clients include international entrepreneurs and families, high net-worth individuals and multi-national businesses.

Prior to joining Bank of the West, Arnaud was Program Manager at the French American Chamber of Commerce 

Arnaud is fluent in French, Spanish and English.




Charlotte Wall, Spott Lucey & Wall

Tax planning and compliance services provided to various businesses including multi-state professional service corporations, closely-held corporations, foreign corporations, etc. Extensive experience in multi-state and international income tax issues for individuals and businesses. Manages the firms recruiting programs and staff training programs. Firm's lead specialist in multi-state issues (all of her clients are in all 50 states as a group) as well as local taxation (sales and use tax and other local taxes). Manages the firm's real estate practice (developers, landlords, and investors).

Emma Cockerton is co-founder and CEO of Florin Pensions LLC, a US based investment advisory firm specialising in advising expatriates on UK pension transfers. With only British expatriate advisers working at Florin, Florin is well placed to help its clients make sense of their UK pensions and provide local advice on how to manage them before and during retirement.

Jason is passionate about technology entrepreneurship and has been involved in numerous start-up ventures.
