Please join the Atlantic Council, in partnership with the Bay Area Council Economic Institute and the European Union Delegation to the United States, for a panel discussion on the progress of the European Union’s Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy and its implications for businesses in the United States and the transatlantic digital marketplace.
Across the United States and Europe, the digital economy is radically changing the landscape for businesses, consumers, and policymakers. Two years after the DSM strategy’s launch, it is time to review its progress to better understand the DSM’s potential benefits and pitfalls for US stakeholders, and the road ahead.
Our panel includes public sector officials, experts on digital trade, and leading industry representatives. The discussion will focus on DSM’s impact on transatlantic data flows and ecommerce, ePrivacy rules, and the cybersecurity regime in Europe.
