The 2012 BABC Transatlantic Conference in Edinburgh will provide high level networking and information to help understand what is really happening behind the board room doors on both sides of the Atlantic. The conference has in recent years been held in San Francisco, London and Washington DC. This year the Scottish North American Business Council (SNABC) will host the conference and provide executives from across the UK and North America with a unique opportunity to promote their business and to learn more about these vital markets.
The event will provide an opportunity to network and connect with leaders from the world of finance, science, manufacturing, energy, security and government.
The Conference will officially open with a Civic Reception which will be hosted by City of Edinburgh Council this will be held City of Edinburgh Council Chambers which is situated on the Royal Mile a short distance from the Conference Hotel: Radisson Blu Hotel.The theme for our 2012 conference will be ?Developing Transatlantic Relations?. We will be looking at ways to explore every aspect of developing strong relations on both sides of the Atlantic. We expect to attract an elite group of senior business executives from many of the world?s most successful companies, who will gather to hear and meet with business leaders from global businesses.
The conference will focus on a number of issues important to both sides of the Atlantic, including:

· Defence and Homeland Security ? National Security
· Canada: Creating Business Links with Canada
· Cyber Crime Fighting Financial Crime and Fraud in a New Era

Our Keynote speakers and panellists will capture each sector on the agenda and discuss, from strategies for exploring new ideas, finding new talent ? both academic and industrial and the role of various service industries needed to build and foster, relations including law, finance and marketing.
On Thursday evening of the Conference 17th May 2012, BABC will hold its Transatlantic Gala Dinner. The dinner will be held in the spectacular and exclusive venue Edinburgh Castle and will be hosted by the First Minister for Scotland, Rt. Hon Alex Salmond MSP. Dress code: Business Attire.
