TICKETS NOW ON SALE! BABC Members - Complimentary Non-Memberes - $25 EVENT DESCRIPTION: The COVID-19 pandemic has produced the most pronounced economic shock in nearly a century. In 2020, recessions around the world were sharp and deep, with significant supply-chain disruptions. That said, more than in previous recessions, policymakers were aggressive in supporting financial markets, businesses and their economies. While the global economy tries to recover as we head into 2021, the battle between the virus and humanity's efforts to stanch it continues. Even with an effective vaccine, the path to recovery is likely to prove uneven and varied across industries and countries. But, there is hope on the horizon and, there are opportunities to be taken. In the middle of all of this, across the pond, the UK and EU signed a crucial Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) on December 30th, 2020 providing further reason for hope as we head into 2021. Please join us on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 when our panel will take a look beyond the long shadow of COVID-19 and share their views on the TCA as well as what they believe is in store for the global financial and capital markets, for housing and commercial real estate, for manufacturing, and for the technology sector. |
