Comic Relief has raised millions of pounds to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice for the past 25 years, its main event is Red Nose Day, Friday March 18. It's a day like no other when the whole of the UK gets together to do something funny for money and change countless lives in the process…and just because we’re over here, doesn’t mean we can’t help!
Come join the Expat Brit Meetup Group and the British American Business Council co-hosted social fundraiser to transform lives throughout the UK and Africa.
Wind down from your working week by grabbing a drink and a bite to eat with other Brits from the Bay Area while participating and enjoying the fundraising activities in store for you: an amazing raffle, classic British pub games and the grand finale: male leg waxing! We’ve recruited volunteers that you all know and love from the BABC and Expat Brit Meetup groups and we invite you to reduce them to tears while simultaneously making them look like fools. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and not to be missed!
All proceeds go to Comic Relief,so bring plenty of generosity (the paper kind) and good cheer.
By being a brilliant sponsor you’ll help to change lives for the better:
- $3.25 could pay for a vulnerable runaway child in the UK to receive free confidential help by text.
- $8.15 could purify enough water to supply 180 desperately poor families in the slums of Kenya for 5 days.
- $24 could pay for 40 babies in Zambia to receive a course of malaria medicine, which can save their lives.
