The first of our new 'Breakfast with the Boss' event series begins on October 18th with a very special opportunity to have breakfast with the British Consul General in San Francisco, Priya Guha. This event has been organized by the BABC Young Professionals but is open to all.
Priya Guha took her post as Her Majesty’s Consul General in San Francisco in August 2011. As such she has responsibility for the Consulate-General's delivery of the British Government's foreign policy and service delivery objectives in the six-state area consisting of Northern California, Washington State, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Montana. Priya is a career diplomat who joined the UK Foreign Office in 1996. Prior to San Francisco, she spent four years at the British High Commission in India, where she was First Secretary for Political and Bilateral Affairs. She has also worked on European Union and media issues at the Foreign Office in London, and served as 2nd Secretary to the British Embassy in Madrid.
The breakfast will begin with a brief Fireside Chat then the table will open for general Q&A. In addition to discussing her experiences within the FCO, Priya can also offer her perspective as the first woman appointed British Consul General in San Francisco, and share tips on effective networking in a new city. We are honored that Priya has volunteered her time to share her thoughts with the Young Professionals, you don’t want to miss this special opportunity!
Breakfast will be at the British Consulate-General in downtown San Francisco.
