BREXIT - HOW THE DICE HAVE FALLEN
With a trade deal between the UK and the European Union finally agreed on December 24th, 2020, please join BABC Business Member, Grant Harrod Lerman Davis Accountants on February 17th at 9am to learn about what the deal means for both individuals and businesses carrying out transactions in and out of the USA. The intention behind the UK and EU’s Trade and Cooperation Agreement was that it should go beyond traditional free trade agreements, providing a solid basis for preserving the longstanding friendship and cooperation. January 2021 however saw the Agreement, and its adjunct the Northern Ireland Protocol, sorely tested when the EU hastily and unilaterally invoked the Protocol’s harsh emergency powers – an action they were subsequently to reverse only hours later! Jonathan will be addressing this very recent and controversial episode in his presentation. The event is complimentary for all to attend and the Zoom link will be sent to registered guests on the day prior to the event. If you have any questions, please contact Jonathan Grant at jonathan.grant@ghld.uk.com. |
