On April 17 2012 the British American Business Council Northern California and the Hotel Council of San Francisco are hosting an Emergency Preparedness Planning Seminar to help you or your organization work out what to do if disaster strikes.
We’re bringing together a panel of leading experts from the American Red Cross, US Geological Survey, San Francisco Department of Emergency Management, SF Fire Department, SF Health Department and the British Consulate-General.
This could be the most important meeting you attend all year.
The event is being held on the eve of the anniversary of the devastating 1906 San Francisco earthquake, at the Hotel Whitcomb on Market Street. The hotel played a historic role in helping the community get back on its feet in the wake of the disaster – serving as a temporary City Hall for several years.
KEY QUESTIONS:
• What are the chances of a quake hitting us?
• How will the City authorities respond to a major event?
• What should you be doing as an individual to prepare?
• What should your business be doing to prepare?
• How can your organization prepare for health related disasters?
• What resources are available for non-US citizens?
