California’s Employment Training Panel- Can provide employers with reimbursement funds for costs they have incurred related to training their employees.
Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs)- Local WIBs can provide California companies with recruiting and job placement services as well as funding for on the job training.
*California Tax Credits:
The State of California offers various tax credits to companies
that qualify Enterprise Zone Hiring Tax Credit Research & Development Tax Credit Sales & Use Tax Credit
*Innovation Initiatives:
iHub Program- State sponsored Innovation Hubs provide for collaboration between Universities, the business community, and local governments. There are currently 12 designated iHubs across California, each with a regional perspective on fostering innovation within their communities.
Stem Cell Research Initiative- Proposition 71 established $3 billion in bond obligations to fund up to $350 million a year for the research and development of stem cells.
Million Solar Roof program- The California Million Solar Roofs Initiative helps residential and commercial utility user install and operate solar panels on their property. The goal is to create one million solar roofs in California by 2018.
