Christopher Steffen is the Chief Evangelist for Cloud Security for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, he is responsible for information security and compliance messaging and positioning for HPE Helion – HPE’s hybrid cloud solution. Before coming to HPE, Steffen was the Director of Information Technology for Magpul Industries, overseeing all technology related functions of the enterprise, including the development and implementation of the company’s technical vision and management of the technical staff. Before Magpul, Steffen served as a technical leader for Kroll Factual Data, a credit services provider, including Principal Technical Architect and Manager of Information Security and Compliance.

Dan leads the cyber security advisory services team at EKS&H, focusing on vulnerability assessments, compliance requirements, and organizational awareness. He has presented issues of data privacy and security to the National Conference of State Legislatures, the U.S. Department of Education, and various local organizations and committees. Dan is also the former chairman of the nationwide Education Information Management Advisory Consortium, and former chair of the Governor?s Data Advisory Board in Colorado.
