A panel discussion on the Bay Area's current recruitment climate for professionals seeking their next career move and the organizations looking to hire them.
Led by our TV workplace and career expert Dr Greg Ketchum of TalentPlanet as moderator, our panel will certainly be providing expert advice for those looking to switch jobs, change careers, and find new opportunities to re-energize working life. But we also be targeting wider questions of interest to all Bay Area professionals, and particularly, recruiters.
From large corporate HR departments and professional recruitment companies to the newest start-ups, we'll be looking at the challenge of finding the best candidates to fill the positions you have - and strategies to make sure you attract the talent you need to stay ahead.
Hosted in the offices of Squire Sanders LLP, we'll have drinks and light hors d'oeuvres and plenty of time for networking.
Topics will include:
-
The current Bay Area recruitment climate;
-
How to find that elusive dream job, including tools such as social media;
-
Using a recruiter in your job search;
-
Strategies for recruiters to find the best candidate for the job;
-
How start ups can compete with larger corporations in attracting the top talent they need;
-
The ethical and legal implications of changing jobs.
