TRY MAKERS - An Evening with the Stars to Support Play Rugby (hosted by Community Partner Play Rugby USA)

For over 15 years, Play Rugby USA has been instrumental in the growth of American youth rugby by developing opportunities for today’s young athletes to find the game. Based in New York, the foundation has long held it’s annual “Try Makers” fundraising gala where USA Rugby and global legends come together in support of the program.

This year, despite the effects of COVID-19 and limitations around social gathering, Play Rugby USA is holding course for the kids and bringing a virtual edition of the anticipated event to live stream on May 14th at 8PM ET.

Play Rugby USA Executive Director, Wil Snape noted, “Rugby people know how life changing and inspirational our sport and the athletes that play it are. In these challenging times, we wanted to create an event that was uplifting, fun and meaningful for everyone. Sharing the best the game has to offer, as we strive to do that every day for the young people we work with.”

Play Rugby USA has provided physical, social and emotional support to kids from underserved communities for over 15 years. Sharing the values of rugby, using them to provide life changing services, and growing our Rugby community. As they continue to support young athletes through the COVID-19 pandemic, they need the rugby community to keep them moving forward.

Celebrating the best of rugby with a mix of International and USA Rugby stars including Bryan Habana, Shane Williams, David Campese, Naya Tapper, Alev Kelter, Nana Fa’avesi and more.
